In botany, fruits are the seed behavior structure in flowering plants from the ovary after flowering. Fruit are the mean by which angiosperms distribute seeds. Fruits, in particular, have spread with the movement of animals and humans in an interdependent relationship as a mean for seed dispersion and nutrition. In fact, humans and many animals have become dependent on fruits as a foundation of food, therefore fruits for a substantial segment of the world’s agricultural output, and some have learnt wide cultural and symbolic meanings.
In common language usage, “fruit” normally means the plump seed related structures of a plant that are sour or sweet, and comestible in the raw state, such as apples, lemons, oranges, bananas, and strawberries. On the other hand, fruits contain many structures that are not commonly in all fruits. Such as bean pods, tomatoes, corn kernels, and wheat grains.
Many common terms for seeds and fruit do not agree to the botanical organizations. In culinary vocabulary, a fruit is usually any sweet tasting plant part, particularly a botanical fruit, a nut is any hard, oily, and bombarded plant product, and a vegetable is any savory or less sweet plant product. Though, in botany, a fruit is the mature ovary or carpel that contains seeds, a nut is not a type of seed and it is type of a fruit, and a seed is a mature ovule.
The outer, often eatable layer, is the pericarp, formed from the ovary and nearby the seeds, although in some species other matters contribute to or from the eatable portion. The pericarp may be labeled in three layers from outer to inner, the mesocarp, endocarp, and epicarp. Fruit that bears a protuberant pointed terminal forecast is said to be beaked.
